Kindom Hearts: The Shadow Plague

Kiana followed her closely, her blade now at her side.She held it in a defencive position, keeping close to Riley.She didn't want her to get hurt again, she didn't want anything bad to happen.She was scarred now, the thought of hurting her friend like that again carved into her mind.She watched the halls as they moved, hoping they wouldn't have to fight.

The popular Disney characters best known as Donald and Goofy. Goofy lead the way and Donald looked around, tears were in his eyes, "Poor Sora," He said with his face pointed to the ground. Goofy slowed his pace and put a hand on Donald's shoulder, "He was a hero," He said with a smile.

I heard talking in the main room I had been in. I turned to Kiana and put my finger to my lips. I leaned around the corner and seen a duck and a dog walking the halls. "Heartless?" I asked Kiana what her thoughts might be on the matter. I didn't know how to tell a heartless form another enemy frankly.

"They never talked when we were fighting them..."Kiana whispered, her blade ready in her hand.

She raised her blade, holding her finger to Riley's Lips.She didn't want the girl to stop her from testing the creatures.

"Voltning"She whispered.

A sudden burst of Thunder came down towards Goofy, heading straight for his head.

"WOAHHHW!" He shouted and suddenly ducked. Donald ducked as well his tail feathers getting singed slightly. "WHATS THE BIG IDEA!" Donald shouted in rage. I looked up at Kiana with a questioning look, "Uhh," I said slowly. Goofy looked at me and saw my blade, "ITS THEM!" He shouted with happiness.

"Ok, First the Wardrobe, Then the CandleStick and the Wolf Person, Now a Duck and a Dog?What's next an MP3 Player?"Kiana asked, holding her blade.

The she realised what she had just done to Donald and got an embarresed look on her face.

"Sorry!"She said with a nervous smile.

She didn't know why, but she somewhat trusted these creatures.It was strange, and she had no idea why she felt like she knew them.She felt kinda akward, but at least her blade wasn't trying to attack them, so they weren't enemies.

"THEM!? These two........Princesses?" He asked in disbelief. "HEY I RESENT THAT!" I stood in anger my blade glowing with my anger. "LOOK SEE!" The dog shouted pointing at my sword.

"Riley... Riley... Please Calm Down, let me Handle this..."Kiana said, holding the girl back.

She willed the girl back, pushing her behind her body.She too had resented the Princess comment, but was able to hold her cool.She then held her blade tight, ready to skin the duck for his comment.

"Who the heck is Them?We're just people who got here somehow."She said, holding back her anger.

She had a great urge to attack the duck, but she didn't know if she could handle the crazed thing.

"Now, say you're sorry before my friend blows a gasket and I have to skin you alive..."Kiana said, her anger slipping.

"Heehee, then you'll never know how you got here," Donald said pointing his bill up and smirked. Goofy looked at them with apologetic eyes standing. "We could help ya, Ya know we know the king and perhaps he could tell ya all thats going on," He said with a smile. "WHHHAAT!?" Donald yelled. I came out from behind Kiana, "Really? Thank you so much," I said happy to know what in the world was going on.

"Why you little!"Kiana said her anger arising, her body tackling the duck to the ground.

She was about to choke the little demon when the dog suggested going to some king.She got off the little duck and gave it a glare before moving back over to Riley.

"What King? And how exacly are we going to get there? I know you crashed something, you made it quite obvious when a loud thud was hear outside."She said.

"Oh yeah, Uhug (That noise that Goofy makes XD) Guess thats a problem," He said scratching his head. Donald glared at Kiana before standing, "You won't be needing me, I'm no mechanic," He said and walked out the big door that lead to the courtyard. "Well, We could help, BE NICE," I said bumping Kiana's shoulder. Just then my hand started to burn again, "AHH!" I said in pain. It was like someone put a white hot coal in my hand. I dropped my blade and it disappeared. The mark from earlier was a glow.

"Fine, but if that Duck does anything to hurt you or I, I'm going all out."She whispered.

She then stared at her friend in shock as she cringed in pain.

"What's the... Oh god!"She screamed trying to hold the girls hand out.

She wanted to help, cast blizzard on it or something, but she knew it would just hurt.

"Help! Riley needs Ice or something."She asked the dog.

I was almost at tears and in extreme pain. I shook with pain, so much pain that a small amount of blood was appearing. Goofy started running in circles panicking.

"HEAL!" A voice shouted. Then a bright white light flashed and my hand stopped burning. It was a hooded figure, they had a long black tail and their face was covered. The one thing that stood out was the blade at his hip was similar to ours. "Come, quickly," He said and Donald was with him. "HURRY ITS THE KING!" He said, "This world is in danger," He shouted following him. I got to my feet quickly and looked to her, "Lets go," I said.

(Aren't we supposed to fight a large heartless or something?)

Kiana nodded, instantly putting her friend on her back, running towards the King.She didn't know why she was carrying the girl when she could walk, but she was.She ran towards the Mouse King, eyeing the blade he had at his hip.

"How are we going to get away"Kiana said with a halt.

(XD I Know I've got it planned)

There was no answer because when they came out of the large Castle a huge creature was waiting. He waved his hand and threw Donald, The kind and Goofy out of the way. They landed hard and all became unconscious. The creature wasn't like the heartless they had seen earlier it was much more then that.

Creature:


"OH MY GOODNESS!" I shouted and jumped down. I ripped the hem of my dress and wrapped my hand quickly. Then my blade appeared, "PRAY WE DON'T DIE!" I Shouted in fear. "FLARE!" I shouted and blasts of fire sprayed out towards the beast.

"You focus on the magic, I'll go in for the attacks!"Kiana shouted as the creature got in between them.

She ran at the large creature, her blade out and ready.She jumped high into the air, not getting much air above the creature.Though somehow she was able to get on top of the large creature, who started shaking rapidly.She moved forward, up it's back and towards the head.It's hand tried to grab her but she slashed until it backed off.She then stabbed as hard as she could into the strange symbol on it's head.She wanted to pull it out and continue, but she was struggling to get the blade free.

"Riley NOW GO FOR THE HAND!"Kiana screamed.

The creature shook rapidly, wanting nothing more than to get rid of Kiana.But she held tight onto her blade, starting to lose her grip on the blade.

"FLARE!" I shouted pointing my blade toward the hand of the great creature. My shot was dead on and it seemed to back have unlocked itself from Kiana's Keyblade. Then it reared back and shot its tongue at me. It gripped my and I couldn't help but scream. Then it started to tighten. I pointed my keyblade as best I could towards his face, "FLARE!" I shouted again and it dropped me as he fell over. It quickly got back to its feet though and the small black creatures from before appeared.

Kiana was thrown off of the creature, blade and all.She hit the ground with a thud and was knocked in between conscious and unconscious.It started to become more clear she was going to faint an be of no more use.She raised her blade limply as the other creatures started to appear.She finally raised it and tried to get up slightly.

"Volt...ning..."She said.

Wit that lightning shot down and hit the creatures that had appeared.She then fell into unconsciousness, her blade disappearing.

Kiana fainted!

"KIANA!" I shouted and ran to her side. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" I shouted with rage. I turned and suddenly my hand was burning again. I didn't know if it was the adrenaline or if my hand didn't hurt anymore. I tore away the bandages and saw my burn was lite up again. I closed my hand into a fist and something opened inside me.

Thats when the pain hit. I went down to my knees in pain. I gripped my hand and suddenly a huge shape went around me. It was a shade of black and was glowing. A flash went around me and then I felt power.

My clothing changed and I felt something grow out of my head. Then I felt something take over. It was like I was watching but running on instinct. The blackness faded and I looked at the beast with hatred. I called my blade and when it returned to me I noticed its different look:



I took a step forward and realized my feet were like some kind of black dragon. I lifted my blade and shot several shots out of my blade. The monster must have disliked that and shot his tongue at me. I felt the squeeze but I aimed my blade again at his hand and shot several shots. The monster seemed to be tired and I lifted it and shot it one last time in the head.

It shrinked back into the ground but then when I looked up I seen the castle was falling apart. I quickly ran over to my friend and picked her up. My blade disappeared again and as I was walking I felt the effects going away. I got only one glance at what I looked like, in a puddle.


I returned to my true self and felt fatigued. "WAKE UP HURRY WE HAVE TO GO!" I shouted. They stirred and we all ran to a ship on the far side. Off to another section I saw the rubble that must have been Donald and Goofy's ship. When we got inside I set Kiana down on a chair and backed up and lifted my blade that had appeared. "HEAL!" I shouted and a white blast engulfed Kiana. I fell to my knees and leaned up against the wall. I was exhausted.

"Wh... What happened..."Kiana murmured as she came to.

Her head faced the window, noticing a large black shadow envelop the castle and head towards the ship.She noticed a small keychain like bobble, her hand streched out, and she gripped it tightly.It was then that her blade appeared.Suddenly the keychain switched itself with the other one already on her blade, the blade then transforming.



It was then that her other keychain went into her pocket and the blade disappeared.She stared out the window, a tear falling down her cheek.

I saw Kiana's sorrow, "Kiana, don't cry we'll be out of this soon," I said slowly. I was truly drained but I didn't want to scare Kiana so stayed awake. After some rest I was sure that I would be fine.

"Where are we going King Mickey?" Goofy asked suddenly. "To Merlin's," Came his simple reply. "I suggest you two listen to him, He'll give you all you need to know," Donald said, "These two are nothing like Sora, King Mickey. Why would the keyblade choose them?" He asked. I was two tired to fight with him so I just listened. "We don't question the Keyblade's choose. Sora was a great warrior and we are greatful to have had him for the time we did but that is no reason to be ungreatful for these two Donald," He said to the duck. Donald thought for a moment and looked at Kiana, "I'm Sorry," He said looking down.

Kiana watched her friend try her best to stay awake.She didn't speak, but she nodded towards donald when he apologized and put her hand on his back.

"It's okay... but... Belle and the Beast"She said as the world disappeared.

Her tear dried and she turned towards Riley.She took the girl's hand and tried to look for the bright side in all of this as they started of towards Merlin.

Mickey looked at them, "We'll save them but our main priority right now is to get you to safety. Without you there wouldn't be a way to save them," Mickey said turning to her. Goofy took the wheel as they drove away and the castle turned black. I looked at Kiana and tried my best to smile, as I smiled my blade returned to its normal form. "What happened back there?" I asked in my tired voice. "I'd love to explain but Merlin would be the one to know, not I," Mickey said. His large keyblade at his hip made me want to ask a question but I felt myself falling deeper into sleep.

Kiana mouthed the words "Go ahead, get some sleep", looking out the window as they passed through the strange areas.It wasn't long before her own eyes were falling heavy, but by then they had reached their destination.She decided to not wake Riley until they were with Merlin and lifted the sleeping girl onto her back.She then headed for the exit door, behind the others.

*out of POV*

The group walked on. They were in Radiant Garden, from when it was last seen it has become more beautiful then it ever was. Most of everything has been fixed up and restored thanks to the committee. Mickey walked through the rows of open venders who advertised their products. They all seemed to be oblivious to the great dangers that were happening. Goofy looked up, "LOOK ANOTHER STAR!" Goofy shouted. Donald and Mickey looked up and saw the star flicker a few times before completely going out.

"We must hurry," Mickey said and quickened his pace. Finally they came to a door and opened it up. There was a man with blonde hair at a huge computer.

"He... Hello..."Kiana said, somewhat intimidated.

This all was so strange, the talking animals, the wierd blades, traveling to another world.She couldn't make sense of any of it, so she just went along with it.She set Riley down gently and tapped the girl lightly.Her eyes were heavy as she tapped, and she started to repeat some words over as she spoke.

"Ri... Ri... Riley... Wake... wake up..."
