Kindom Hearts: The Shadow Plague

In the world they had just destroyed, or at least thought they had, a single black vortex had appeared.Out of it stepped a hooded person, carrying a single heart.He placed it down and it began to spread, sucking the strange magical world into oblivion.Another world had been destroyed, and that was it.

Kiana opened her eyes once to see Riley, and looked up to see Leon before falling back into her sleep.

I nodded, "lets get her to a bed." Leon nodded and put her on the bed that was in the corner. It was sid's bed since he was always on the computer and hardly had anytime to rest it was for the most part unused. I sat beside her, "What happened?" I asked the wizard with a tired look, "You changed forms," he said with a smile. I nodded with a tired smile. "Your going to have to get stronger and learn to stay up after a transformation, You can't just collapse in the middle of a battle, you could get killed," Leon said. I nodded and promised myself I would stay awake. Donald and Goofy chuckled, "She is a bit like sora isn't she?" Goofy said. I beamed at that, to be a bit like Sora was a thing to be proud of.

Kiana kept drifting inbetween sleep and awake, all the while, her lips dropping words about a world being destroyed.She even started to see a cloaked figure destroying the world they had just been in.

"A world...A figure...one heart...darkness swallowing...destruction and oblivion..."She mummbled.

I heard my friend and looked at her, "Kiana, Kiana wake up," I said softly. I feared that she was having a nightmare and wanted her to wake up from it. Merlin suddenly returned and had a book with him.

Kiana continued to mummble and murmur until she finally opened her eyes slowly.She sat up and fell back, looking over at Riley quietly, giving her a look that told her what they had just done.The world they had thought they had destroyed had been destroyed.

"Riley... we... were too weak..."She managed.

"I mean look at me... if I'm like this after that... I... I don't think I can do this..."

"We'll get better, We're chosen ones," Riley said with a smirk. She wasn't as tired as she had been the first time. She infact felt like she was getting energy faster.

Those few words inspired her, she sat up, hugging her friend tightly.

"Thanks Riley... I needed that..."

She then tried to get out of the bed, letting go of her friend.

"What do we do next?"

"Well first you need to regain some of your energy," Merlin stepped in. I gave a sigh of relief leaning back into the wall. I wanted to fight and be brave and all but to be honest I was a bit tired.

Sora was a great warrior...............but something happened.....

Off in another world named Twilight town there was a boy much like Sora named Roxas. Well before the keyblade had chosen him anyway. Roxas wasn't the most popular kid but he had a heart of gold.........or so some thought. Turns out that this Roxas was a new creature, Dispite the fact that he thought he had friends it was all a dream......A lie. Roxas was a nobody, Sora's nobody. You see Sora had been captured by organization 13 who planned to stop Sora from using the keyblade so that they could open a place called Kindom Hearts. A place of pure darkness, the power to rule the worlds. Darkness.

Roxas had met a witch named Namine'. She was helping organization 13 but didn't mean for all of what happened, to happen. Roxas was somehow wondered by Namine', when Organization 13 found out that Namine' was trying to help Roxas know the truth they put a stop to it and captured her. Roxas however was there and a few words were said but not many know what those words were. Not even I.

Whatever those words were, they had a meaning......I wish I knew what. Sora always kept it close to him but never recited it.....

Roxas had a choice to make, let Sora become whole with Roxas and be forgotten or let organization 13 open the door to kingdom hearts.........he couldn't and so Sora was awakened once more..........but yet much older.

"Right..."Kiana whispered, her mind starting to wander.

Her mind thought back to her friendship with Riley, and drifted onto how she actually came to her home.It was annoying that even before this she could hardly remember her past.All she knew was that she wasn't from where Riley had been.In fact, she had forgotten where she had lived with Riley for those years of her life.Not to mention everything before that.

"A Name... what was the Name..."She whispered, no one could hear except Riley.

She lay her head back down on the Pillow, a vison starting to appear in her head.A vision that seemed to remind her of herself.But not only herself, a man, who both appeared to be older and the same age as she, almost like they belonged.The vison stayed in her mind, even as she unnoticably closed her eyes and began to dream.

Riley nodded suddenly a tired feeling flashed over her. Riley rarely dreamed, she was more blessed in daydreaming. But this time she dreampt.........a common dream.


Nothing.............just a black space........but there were voices


"!"
"Ki...!"
"S....a!"
"Ki..!..........Remember...........said...........I'm always with you too!.................I PROMISE!"

"I KNOW YOU WILL!"

The words were faint and somethings were missing.........small things but somehow important.

"Kiana I'm not...... I won't leave you....... I...."The Man said as he held her hand.

The words were muffled, and the sound seemed to appear and disappear as they ran.

"Ru- please don't stay... I... you........... leave.... it's.... the Heartless.... want...."Kiana's apparent younger form spoke.

It was so confusing, as if she was starting to remember, but couldn't completely recall.It was frustrating, but she had a feeling she didn't want to know.

"No Kiana... as.... weilder of the Keyblade.... I.... you...."The Man stated as Heartless swarmed.

Just as the Heartles started to attack, the Man seemed to use something to fight the enemies before handing it to Kiana and shoving her into a portal.Kiana awoke with a start, sweat stuck to her forehead.

Riley shook in her dream another one rapidly approaching, this time she was surrounded by light and standing someplace. It was bright and beautiful, an ocean? She didn't even remember being anywhere near an ocean. "S....a!" Someone shouted. It was then Riley realized she wasn't moving on her own. A girl with red hair and a pink outfit came over. Her face was so.........calming and lovely. Wait? what?

Suddenly a word came to her lips, "Kiri," She said in her dream......it was so tender and loving the way she said it. Leon and the others turned their head when they heard her. "Kiri.........I," She began to say but it wasn't her voice.......but that of an old knight.

Kiana looked around before turning towards Riley Quietly.She wanted to shake her to tell her about the dream, but something stoped here.The words she spoke perplexed her as she looked towards her friend.

"Kairi, I...........love you," Came the words. They shocked Donald and Goofy who fell over in shock. Merlin stared in fear and then the realization hit Donald and Goofy. They dashed over but didn't touched Riley, "Sora?" Donald said slowly. "Donald? Goofy? Where are you?" Came the knight's voice. "Well........long story," Goofy said slowly.

"What the... Sora, what happened to Riley?"Kiana asked.

She was scared and wanted to wake her friend but kept quiet.Her mind was somewhat focused on Sora talking, but it kept trailing off to her dream and what had been going on.

"But wait.......NO I NEED TO TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED!" Sora's voice was hurried but was fading. Donald and Goofy leaned in closer if it was possible, "WHAT SORA WHAT!?" They shouted together. Slowly Riley's eyes opened to see Donald and Goofy, "AHHHHH!" She shouted in suprise.

"Back off you guys give her some Room!"Kiana said, looking towards her friend.

She gave her a look that she needed to talk to her in private, but first Merlin needed her attention.Her mind kept on her dream, thinking about the man with long silver hair.He seemed so stubborn like Riley, but he had a good heart.She didn't know what to think though, so she tried her best to focus on wht was happening.

Donald and Goofy fell back in suprise and Riley popped up, "Why is everyone leaning around me!? What did I do???" She asked in fear. Merlin seemed deep in thought, "But if Sora is still alive, then why would the keyblade split?" merlin asked himself. He stopped before the door, "Why don't you two stay here, I have.......to go to the library," He said slowly.

(Just so ya know... here's a theory for the Keyblade:

A theory about keychains is that the keychain grants access to other Keyblade wielders. If a Keyblade has no keychain, then it is only exclusive only to its wielder, and cannot be given to another Chosen Keyblade Wielder. This theory could potentially explain why the countless, keychainless Keyblades at Sunset Horizon are not in use. The Dark Keyblade Riku makes when possesed by Xehenort's Heartless (with no keychain) was picked up by Sora which he used on himself, not exclusive.)

Kiana put a finger to her lips, motioning for Riley to remain quiet for a little bit.

"Riley... I really need to talk to you... remember when we were younger... you asked me where I was from..."She asked quietly.

"I think I might remember something..."

Riley blinked a few times remembering, "Uh......yeah, but that was a long time ago, I hardly remember that," She said slowly.

"I... I know, but I think... I... I might remember something... I had a dream... with a man, and a girl, she looked like me, but someting was off... anyway, he pushed the girl through some sort of portal with an item and then I woke... I think... the girl might be me... I think my home... was attacked by Heartless..."

"But........wait, I don't remember seeing any heartless till just a couple of hours ago," I said slowly. " I had the strangest dream," She said suddenly changing subjects. She couldn't help it though........she didn't WANT to forget it.

"Exactly, but... remember I did forget everything..."She whispered while her friend continued.

She was unsure of what exactly had been going on, but her friend's few words shook her to reality.

"Wh- what was it about?"She asked quietly

"I didn't see.................................anything," I said in fear, "Just blackness and voices. I always have this dream but I heard more. Then I was on an island.........far..........far away. I don't understand," I said in fear. What did this mean?

"An Island?"Kiana asked quietly.

She was unsure as to whether or not she knew where this Island was.

"Was there anything else?"
